Last November, the company announced it would lay off 40% of its workforce, or more than 200 employees, and shut down its therapeutics division.

Those efforts will include investing in new biosecurity measures, providing financial relief for farmers who have lost their flocks, and exploring “vaccines and therapeutics for laying chickens.”

“We’re trying to influence the thousands of pharmacy and therapeutics committees around the country that are going to be looking at this therapy and whether they are going to provide it,” he said.
