Moody’s RMS said in a report this week that it expects the fires will weaken insurers first-quarter earnings and raise the price of reinsurance they buy to mitigate the costs of catastrophes — while increasing prices and lowering the availability of homeowners insurance in California neighborhoods at “high- and medium-risk” for wildfires.

“This failure will produce a significant danger to the citizens of Los Angeles County, which can be averted through the immediate modernization and replacement of the CAD and RMS systems.”

“The bow of Titanic is just iconic - you have all these moments in pop culture - and that's what you think of when you think of the shipwreck. And it doesn't look like that any more,” said Tomasina Ray, director of collections at RMS Titanic Inc, the company that carried out the expedition.
