The secondary kit is dubbed “Summit” and is stark white in honor of the snow-capped mountains that frame the Pacific Northwest and the historical excellence of the Regin, according to a news release.

Two years after Nielsen, a teenage Regin joined the Blue Fox, followed by Andersen — whose father, Ernst, had been the team’s goalie during its 1990s run — and Jensen, son of Herning’s famously tough defenseman.

That previously unthinkable achievement bolstered the confidence of Regin, Andersen and Jensen to follow his NHL path.

Oliver Bjorkstrand’s brother also played in that game, celebrating alongside Nielsen, Regin and Nikolaj Ehlers of the Winnipeg Jets.

The last was his son, Kraken points leader Bjorkstrand, raised in Herning with the other four — Frans Nielsen, Peter Regin, Nicklas Jensen and Andersen.
