Economist Inga Fechner of ING Research said the effect on commodity and consumer prices has been muted by sluggish global demand.

“These companies got into the crisis through no fault of their own and would be entitled to state aid. Thousands of jobs are on the line, and families’ livelihoods depend on them,” Fechner added.

Despite his experiments with the golden ratio, Fechner continued to believe that beauty was, to a large degree, in the brain of the beholder.

“This decision is absolutely incomprehensible to me as a father, and I fear for the health of my children and our relatives,” Fechner wrote.

Thilo Fechner, the concert’s project manager and a violist, admitted that many listeners come as much for the setting as for the music.
