The functionality is said to be coming in a firmware update that will activate the PS5’s M.2 expansion slot, which is currently disabled.

Both have an expansion slot allowing owners to plug in a second SSD if they want.

Roughly half the size of the original, the device actually mimics its elder and even has a removable expansion slot, volume control and working slot for cartridges, all that will never be used.
