For years, Steve Doocy has served as the chucklehead host of Fox & Friends, Fox News’ all-smiles morning show giving a light-hearted digests on the terrors of America.

In “Step Brothers,” he played a yuppie chucklehead, but the roles in “Party Down” and “Parks and Recreation” felt more personal.

Seth MacFarlane’s “Family Guy,” which debuted in 1999, depicts dad Peter as an multichinned chucklehead while sketching mom Lois with the ha-cha-cha figure of a catalog model.

So it was excruciating this past week to see the chucklehead who has waged war on our institutions, undermined our laws and values, stoked division at every turn, blundering around defiling the monuments that symbolize the best about America.

But we did see one chucklehead quit the race, only to be replaced by a much richer one who’s campaigning on a platform of lighting his money on fire.
