Earl Spencer grew up and now owns Althorp House - a 13,000-acre estate in Northamptonshire which has been in the Spencer family for 500 years and where Princess Diana is buried.

Earl Spencer said on Twitter dozens of trees at Althorp House were badly hit and an iron lantern was torn from the side of one of the lodge, but no animals were hurt.

Althorp House, which was built in 1508, is where Diana grew up.
